Hello there! My name’s Rocky (#3962), and I’m a 6-month-old male Retriever and Shepherd mix, tipping the scales at a healthy 25 lbs. I’m a recent arrival from South Korea, having only stepped onto American soil on July 26, 2023, but I’m eager to embrace my new culture.

Being curious and friendly, I love to play with both dogs and cats. However, my pace isn’t always in sync with my dog peers, which can make our walks a little challenging. Because of this, I think I might thrive as the only dog-child in the family, where I could get all your love and attention!

I’m proud to say I’m quite a quick learner, thanks in no small part to my high motivation for treats. My potty training is progressing, and I’m getting the hang of basic commands. However, being a puppy, I still have a daily accident or so and a penchant for chewing – but don’t worry, I’m working on it!

My energy level is like a symphony, with moments of calm relaxation alternating with bursts of youthful energy. I adore my morning walks, although my curiosity sometimes leads me to pick up sticks or stubbornly lie down and refuse to budge. In those moments, your patience would be greatly appreciated.

One endearing habit of mine is my newfound love for bedtime stories. Having you read to me calms me down and sends me off to sweet dreams, all but eliminating my night-time whines.

A perfect family for me would be one with time and patience to raise and train an awesome dog. I’m confident that with your love, attention, and training, I’ll blossom into the fantastic companion I promise to be.
