My name is Laila (#4030) and I am a beautiful Golden Retriever brought into Golden Bond Rescue from South Korea. I am approximately 8-years old and weigh a healthy 58 pounds. I am starting to enjoy my walks; going on one- to three-mile slow walks around the neighborhood. While out walking, people always stop and pet me and tell me how beautiful I am.  If you want to make me happy, just pet me and let me lay beside you.

I have not been around children but love all humans so far. Also, I have not been around cats but have enjoyed chasing squirrels and occasional rabbits in the back yard. Unfortunately for me, I am pretty slow so there is no way I could catch one.

I am pretty smart:

– Crate-trained but prefer my bed.

– Potty-trained with no accidents.

– “Sit” on command and learning “Wait” to gently take a treat.

I am currently being treated for lyme and anaplasmosis after testing positive; I have had no symptoms of disease, so it’s presumed I was exposed to but not infected by either.  I do have some dog reactive tendencies so will probably do best as an only dog in my home.
