My name is Abbi (#3399) or as my foster family likes to call me “Miss Abbi Jo.”  I was rescued from a shelter in Cheyenne, WY.  Prior to being taken to the shelter, I lived my life tied up outside and was left abandoned at my residence when my owners moved.

I am a 4-year old Rottweiler (possibly a Rottweiler mix), weighing about 70 pounds.  I am petite but strong and I love, LOVE to snuggle. I like to jump up on the couch next to my human and lay right across their lap, getting as much contact and love as possible.

I am housebroken, do fine in a crate when my foster family is not at home, and also do fine when left unattended in the house while they are away.  I sleep on a dog bed at night, ride well in a car and do great at the vet. I get along well with my very passive male Lab/Golden foster brother.

I am learning my leash manners; I am doing well but sometimes I forget and pull. I am a bit of a “work in progress” because I get so excited to go for walks. When excited, I can be mouthy and jump up but do not bite.

I am kind of a “spaz” when I plays with toys – I never had them before in my life so I i think that’s understandable.  My foster family says it is “pretty adorable” to watch me. I can be a bit growly if they try to take a toy away from me because I don’t want to stop playing!  I have been learning about trading toys for high value treats.

I have a high prey drive so a home free of cats and small dogs/animals would be best.

I would love to find a forever home with people who love to go on walks, will give me plenty of toys that I can toss up in the air and run around with, and will allow me to snuggle up to them as much as possible.

Abbi was adopted on February 19, 2021
