Rainier joined our small family during “Snowpocalypse 2019”! All we knew about her was that she was approximately one year old, was from China, and had a lot of energy…but as soon as we met her we knew she would fit right in!

She was undaunted by all of the snow–bounding through it on our walks as she got to know her new yard and neighborhood. She is still working on the whole “retrieving” part of being a Golden Retriever, but loves tug-of-war, running, swimming, and has yet to meet a dog who she doesn’t want to play with. While she loves car trips and adventure time, she is first and foremost a complete cuddle-bug and velcro dog. Movie time is her absolute favorite (as long as there is an open lap to sit on) and she is asleep by 9pm each night (no matter what).

She does suffer from a little bit of separation anxiety when she has to be at home alone, but a cadre of stuffed toys and balls and some practice seem to be gradually helping. We are just as excited to see her as she is to see us when we get home and head out on our afternoon walk each day!

She completed our family just two months ago, but it feels like she has been ours for forever!

Being able to adopt via Golden Bond Rescue was a dream come true! We cannot thank the members of GBR (especially our home inspector and Rainier’s foster parents) enough for their help, advice, and kindness along the way. Thank you for helping us find the perfect dog!

Here’s Tina (#3142). She flew all the way from China, perhaps just to meet you?  She is a beautiful, loving, dark red golden.  She  also very energetic, jumps on people and loves to run — and she runs fast!  Tina is happy, playful and is good with other dogs.  She pulls hard on her leash, though she is responsive, so will need an experienced person to help train her.

Tina can and will jump over fences!
