Woody #4195
My name is Woody (#4195) and I am one-year old. I am a male goldendoodle and I weigh about 48 pounds. I am the whole package! I’m the most handsome and loving dog you’ll ever meet. I’m full of energy, and love to play and explore.
I know some basic commands, but I’m easily distracted and sometimes have a hard time listening. I am a great learner though. I love to make people happy, and want to be helpful. I can pick up all your socks off the floor and bring them to you. I also have a really cool ball I’ll bring you when I want to play fetch. I bring it back every time!
I like furniture. I have a big comfortable bed I use sometimes, but I like sneaking onto the furniture and acting like I belong there when I’m told to get down. It doesn’t make sense to me yet, but I’m learning. I usually lay by the front door during the day and wait for people to come home. At night, I like to lay on the floor outside the bedroom or at the top of the stairs. I think everyone sleeps better knowing I’m keeping watch for them. I do great when I’m home alone or in the car outside the store.
I love their kitties, but they don’t love me back and it makes me sad. I never met any kitties before now, so I was really curious about them. They hid from me for a while, so I would look for them. When I found them, they ran away or jumped places where I couldn’t reach them. I admit, I ran after them and it probably scared them. I’m getting much better about this. I still try to play with them, but not as much now because they are kind of boring.
I haven’t spent much time around other dogs. I get along great with my foster family’s dog, but she’s kind of the nicest and most patient girl around. I only meet other dogs when I’m on leash, and I can be a little intimidating. I bark really loud and want to play immediately, but other dogs don’t always share my enthusiasm. My foster family will help me hold still when I get introduced to new dogs, then we sniff and get to know each other. It doesn’t help control my excitement, but I’ll stop barking and try to play instead. I play best with younger dogs that can match my energy.
I have beautiful hair. It’s probably the best kind of hair because it never falls out. People with allergies love my kind of hair. Some people like me fluffy, others like when I’m groomed. I love it all. When my hair is longer, I need more brushing and baths, but I love being pampered. The groomer said I was a perfect boy for them.
Like I said before, I’m the whole package. I love everyone unconditionally and enthusiastically. I’m smart and a good learner. I may be just a puppy, but I’m learning more every day. I can’t wait to find a forever family that will appreciate how all my strengths outweigh any weaknesses I might have. They’ll have to be a little patient while I learn, but I know it won’t take long for me to be an amazing dog. I’d be happy with any family that’s willing to love and play with me.
