My name is Sadie (#4173).  I am an 8-year old lovely black AKA-registered Labrador Retriever. I came to Golden Bond Rescue in late 2024.

I have always been a beloved and well-cared-for girl. I am happy-go-lucky and really love “my people.” I have arthritis in my back legs and move a bit gingerly when I first rise from a stationary position but please don’t let that deter you from adopting me because going on walks and seeing my food bowl still result in a happy dance where I prance and hop around wiggling from nose to tail in delight.

I am a talker. I don’t bark much yet will grumble if my food, walk and/or bedtime are not to my liking. I insist on putting my foster mom to bed every evening around 8 PM whether she is ready or not. I like to lay on my bed and get covered by a soft blanket; I will then sigh and go to sleep knowing everything is right in the world.

As far as my foster family can determine, I have one fault: I pull on my leash. I have a harness but can still pull a person over. (I weigh around 95 pounds and am built powerfully.) My foster family is working hard to address my desire to pull with some success observed already.

Do you have room for a big cuddly black Lab? If so, can I be your girl?
