Hey there!  My name is Rufus (#3963).  I am a 6-month old retriever/shepherd mix from S. Korea.  I currently weigh 24 pounds.  My foster mom thinks I’m the cutest boy ever.  She loves how happy and joyful I am and says I help to start her days with a smile.

I love to run and chase toys that are tossed for me.  I mostly walk pretty well on a leash but if I see someone that might be a friend then I pull hard to get to them.  My foster mom is trying to help me with that but I’ll probably continue to need help for a while.  I’m almost potty-trained, but occasionally have an accident when I get excited or nervous. I’m happy to report that I’m getting better about that every day.

I’d love to have a friend around my age to play with.   I try to play with the cats I live with but they won’t have it so I just give up.  My foster mom thinks I’d do better with older kids over 10 years old.

I’m not much of a barker, except when I play, so my foster mom thinks I would do fine with neighbors in close proximity.
