Hello, I am Raffie (#3867).  I arrived in the U.S from China in June 2023.  I’m a 3-year old male that just loves being at home with my foster mom. When people meet me, they think I am the cutest thing. I LOVE my food and treats (especially peanut butter) so much so that I can get a little possessive over it. Sometimes that causes issues with other dogs. Although I do enjoy playing with other dogs, I might do best as an only dog. This doesn’t mean that one day I couldn’t share my home with another dog but for now I prefer to have all the attention.

My foster mom asked me what I think about “cats.” Well to be honest, I am not sure. The thought of chasing them is appealing since I get quite excited about squirrels and birds on my walks.

My foster mom laughs because in typical golden retriever fashion, I love to carry everything around in my mouth, but I don’t chew them! She says I sure am cute but I don’t know if she really likes it when I steal her slippers.

If you are looking for a loving, loyal, sweet and affectionate guy, look no further. I would love to take strolls with you, go for hikes, swim, car rides or just cuddle up. I don’t need a lot of stimuli and can be happy just hanging out next to you. Will you be my forever home?
