Hi there! My name is Freya (#4250), and I’m a 5-year- old yellow Labrador Retriever. Now, don’t picture some 90-pound bowling ball – I’m a sweet and petite little girl made from 55 pounds of pure joy and love! They named me after the Norse goddess of love – which basically makes me royalty, right? A love goddess in fur! (Disclaimer: Actual god-like powers limited to extreme cuddling and expert-level tail wags). There’s almost nothing I like better than snuggling right up for full-body pets… then launching myself into your lap for a kiss-you, kiss-you, kiss-you attack!

I said almost nothing… because there is ONE thing better: FETCH! Oh. My. Dog. I LOVE IT! Seriously, my fetch game is STRONG! Your arm might turn to jelly, but my tail will just keep wagging! Ready? GO! I’m a fetch champion and super polite – I bring the ball or stick right back and drop it at your feet (so you can throw it again, obviously). I live with 3 Golden Retrievers, and I never steal their balls. We take turns. (Though maybe they should bring their own balls, just sayin’).

My foster siblings? They’re AWESOME! My 3-year old Golden sister and I are total goofballs together. We wrestlemania inside, play super-fast chase outside – she totally gets my energy! The other two fosters are 11 and 13 – wise furry gurus! I’m respectful with them, no rough-housing. They’re super nice and let me share their toys and even their comfy dog beds. Sometimes I even snuggle up right next to one of them! A dog buddy (or two!) in my forever home? YES PLEASE! Two paws way, way up!

Cats? Tiny humans? Total mysteries to me! I haven’t really hung out with them before. I’m a pretty easygoing goddess, so maybe we’d be pals? Let’s investigate together if you have some!

Okay, so, this whole “potty outside” business? Totally new concept for this former kennel queen! Where I used to live, I spent most of my time in a kennel on our back porch, so I don’t have much experience hanging out inside. But my foster humans are awesome coaches! We’re having way fewer “oopsie-daisies” inside now. They’re great at reminding me to go out often, especially after naps or zoomies, and that really helps! Just gotta keep up the routine!

My crate? I’m okay with it – as I said, in my old life I spent pretty much the whole day there. However, I’m getting used to life outside the crate – and like that much better!! My foster humans say I’m super smart (duh!), especially ’cause my brain works extra fast when treats are involved! I already know “sit” (easy peasy!), “down” (pro napper pose!), “wait” (so hard when exciting things are happening!), “shake” (paw-five!), “leave it” (unless it’s really tasty…), and my foster dad says my “HERE!” is lightning fast – fastest recall in the whole pack! Got more tricks up your sleeve? Bring on the snacks, I’m ready to learn!

Walks? YES PLEASE! Adventure time! So many smells! Okay, okay, I get a little excited sometimes and pull a bit – the world is just SO interesting, you know? But I’m learning the”walk nicely” game. More practice (and maybe a sniffari now and then?) and I’ll be a pro!

So, if you’re looking for a sweet, super-affectionate, medium-sized goddess with energy to spare, I could be your girl! Especially if you have a playful pup pal for me, love a good (long!) game of fetch, and enjoy exploring on walks! Whaddya say? Ready for maximum wiggles and unconditional love? I’ve got kisses and tail wags saved up just for you!
