Blue (#4080) is a 2-year old, male Golden Retriever, approximately 84 pounds.

Meet Blue, He’s a very sweet loving boy that is looking for a calm home and owner. He is a little special needs but has so much potential when he gets comfortable. He loves walks, playing with other dogs, snuggling and giving hugs. Now his little bit of special needs- he’s a sensitive boy. He can be overwhelmed by loud noises, new people, different situations and walking through tight spaces. He will calm and mellow but it takes him more time than other dogs. He has started taking prozac and either it is kicking in or he is adjusting and is more comfortable in his foster home. He gets along great with his foster golden siblings- they play multiple times a day and he loves the kitties in the home but is respectful and gives them their space. Blue does not have a mean bone in his body and is a very gentle, quiet boy. We absolutely think he would be safe around kids but may be overwhelmed if they were loud. If he gets scared or overwhelmed he may retreat to his kennel or a space he likes in the house. Road tripping? No problem Blue is great in the car and can hang for a while. Getting him in- initially takes a little coaxing but after that he’s good! Blue has so much love to give, his quirks don’t outweigh his love and sweetness- he will make someone very happy.
