Hi, my name is Fay (#4218) and I am a beautiful 3 1/2-year old female Golden Retriever and I weigh 60 pounds. My foster parents say that I am built like a boy but sweet like a girl. I came from S. Korea and now I am living a great life in the USA with my wonderful foster family!
I am a strong and healthy girl with a big personality. If fun is involved, I am ready to go! I love love love to ride in the car and go to fun places like the beach, parks, and hiking trails. I love to take brisk 2 mile walks daily. I need to wear a front clip harness as I do pull, but I am improving on this. I do bark at dogs on my walks just to say hello but I am improving on this too. I love to spend lots of time in the backyard watching and chasing squirrels and rabbits, but I also enjoy just hanging out on the grass and playing with a toy. I have lots of energy, as you can tell, so I need a family that can attend to my energetic and fun self.
I have made a very good adjustment to living with my foster family. I love them a lot and they love me back. I also love my little foster doggie brother who is only 18 pounds. We play hard sometimes but have lots of fun and, even though I am much bigger than him, I am a respectful player. I would like to have another dog to hang out and play with as then I would have company when my humans are not nearby.
I love love love toys! I like to put my nose in the toy box and choose a special toy. I find this game lots of fun! I love chewing on squeaky balls and squeaky plush toys which sometimes I de-stuff when I feel like it, but I do not chew on things I am not supposed to. I have very good house manners.
I like to retrieve balls too, something I just learned to do. Oh, I also love nice comfy doggie beds to take a nap on after a hard day’s play. I have a nice bed in the car too that I lay on when we go to fun places. I can ride in a crate in the car too but I do not like to be crated in the house.
I have no known experience with children but my foster parents think that I might like to meet and play with older kids/teens as long as they are respectful. I see lots people of all ages on my walks and I just love humans. Cats on the other hand are a very different story! I live with a foster cat that I see as a rabbit. I want to chase and hunt it but I am not allowed to do this. I don’t know why I am this way, I just am, and no one knew this about me so please do not apply for me if you have a cat.
My foster parents say that I am just the sweetest girl and I want to be petted and kissed and just be around you as much as possible. I am a very loving girl who is loving the family life I never had before. I am a very grateful doggie who will reward you with lots of affection and amusement. One of the cutest things I do is put my paws up for you to shake. All you have to do is tell me “son” (that’s paws up or shake paw) in Korean and I will do it just to make you smile!
