Sandy #4185
My name is Sandy (#4185). I am a healthy 3.5-year old female Golden Retriever who arrived from S. Korea on December 14th. I currently weigh 75 pounds and am working on losing a few.
I love to be around my foster family and the resident senior Golden. I try to play with the Golden. I love all stuffy toys and chew bones. I would do well with another dog that would interact/play with me. I like to cuddle and really want permission to climb on the couch with my family.
There haven’t been any cats in my life since I arrived here, so it’s unknown how I would react to sharing my home with one. I ride well in the backseat of my foster family’s car and SUV, and I can jump in and out on my own. I walk well on a leash with a harness rarely, if ever, pulling. In fact, on my daily hourlong walks, I am often walking behind slowly.
I have come a long way since my arrival and I still need to learn basic commands of sit, down, stay, and wait. My housetraining has been easy; I am quick to potty when let out in the yard and I seem to know whether to stand by the door or find a family member when I need to go out.
Overall, I have a very happy-go-lucky attitude. I vibrate with joy when I receive attention or when someone is making a meal for me. I would make a great addition to a family with older children or a couple who is looking for a sweet and trainable dog. Is that you?
