Woof (“Hello”)!

My name is Murphy (#3559). You can call me Murph, Smurphy Murphy, Good Boi, Sweet Murphy…the list is long.

My foster mom says that I am The Best Boi ever!! I am calm, well behaved and a good listener.

I did originally come from China, but that was over 2 years ago. I am quite emotionally healthy. I love my foster family very much, and foster mom says that I was almost a “foster fail” doggy. But foster mom thinks that I would like to get a bit more stimulation than she can offer. She thinks that I would love to have another dog in the house to play with, but I’m also fine being the only dog as I love human attention – bring it on! I totally ignore the cats that are in the house now. When I go for walks I get so happy when I see other doggos! Big ones, little ones, it doesn’t matter. I love them all. My human brother had a party with fifteen 20-year-olds and I really enjoyed all the human attention. I stayed calm and didn’t jump or bark at all.

I do have some mild spondylosis in my back but a good supplement has helped and I have been enjoying my walks, have no trouble going up and down stairs, but might need some help getting into and out of cars (jumping isn’t recommended for me). More moderate exercise will keep me going for years – I just need to be a bit careful.

I am very smart and love to be challenged with doggy puzzle games. The more I get to use my brain the better! I hope my new forever family is out there and need a loving, happy companion like me!
