Bunny, along with her three sisters – Florence, Freedom and Francine – is not a golden retriever. She is indeed a five month old Newfoundland. Bunny was one of 200 dogs placed on a meat truck by a breeder. Lucky for those 200 dogs, several rescuers in Beijing were able to get all the dogs off. The goldens, many labs and the four Newfie puppies went to the Together for Animals in China (TAC) shelter. GBR took a poll of their Instagram followers/supporters about the Newfie puppies and 87% compelled them to take the puppies and make them honorary goldens.
