Dear Golden Bond, it is with heaviest of heart that I inform you that Gracie (Pearl #3535) crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a brave month-long attempt to fight cancer. You blessed us with Gracie on 7/16/2021.

She was an amazing “big little dog” with more personality than we ever expected! She ran our pack and loved keeping us all on track. She was much loved by my sister and I, and adored by her siblings Lily and Chloe. She loved car rides and slow short sniffing walks.

Last year we bought a dog buggy for her so she could keep up with the younger dogs and enjoy hiking trails in the woods. She enjoyed the beach but never wanted to swim or get her feet wet – she much preferred rummaging for shells and smelling the ocean scents.

Gracie never met a person she didn’t like – we called her our “Walmart Greeter”! Our home is much quieter without her and our hearts are aching.

I have informed her foster Mom, Merryl Mix and wanted to let Golden Bond Rescue know as well. The work you do is so very important and has far reaching impacts on families lucky enough to adopt from you. Thank you for rescuing Gracie and giving us the opportunity to have her in our family.
