Meet me (Ollie #4338): Your Future Canine Companion!
I am a resilient and loving dog in search of a devoted forever home. With a stable routine and a secure environment, I’m ready to embark on the next chapter of my life after a challenging journey over the past three years. With ongoing support and dedication, I am poised for a bright future filled with love and companionship.

What I Want You to Know:
My desire is to be adopted by patient and understanding humans who appreciate my unique personality and are committed to helping me thrive. While I may not yet be the social butterfly you see at farmers markets or quietly resting at your feet in outdoor cafés, I believe that with time I could be that dog; if not, I would be good with that too!  I am eager to grow into the affectionate and loyal companion I was meant to be.

To help with my overall anxiety, I am currently taking Fluoxetine once a day. I am still working on being comfortable with car rides. I require encouragement to get into the car and can feel nervous during travel. Additionally, although I am up to date on my vet appointments, visiting the veterinarian can be stressful for me. I am also undergoing muzzle training as a precaution during vet visits. This is due to a past incident of aggression during a vet visit, prior to my time with my current foster, and as a precaution to ensure everyone’s safety.

Your reward for adopting me will be evident once we establish a strong bond through the 3-3-3 rule. You’ll experience the magic of my trust, enjoy my warm hugs, and cherish those moments when I lovingly rest my head on your lap, or roll over for a belly scratch.

My Ideal Home:

  • Location: A peaceful neighborhood with a secure, high fence.
  • Yard: A space with visual barriers to minimize triggers, such as passing dogs or pedestrians. I prefer to bark at them rather than engage.
  • Daily Activities: Regular walks in calm, low-stimulation areas where I can explore with my nose.
  • Household: Ideally, a home without other pets, cats, or young children, allowing me to truly shine. However, I previously cohabited with a female Golden Retriever, so gradual introductions could be possible over time.

I warm up to those who are not frequently at my home, but I require patience during introductions. I respond well to the “Magic Bowl” method, which has proven effective for new visitors in my foster home. With time, I’ll recognize familiar faces and eagerly await those tasty treats they provide upon their arrival.

My Ideal Humans:

  • Patient individuals willing to allow me to transition at my own pace. Open to ongoing support from Golden Bond Rescue volunteers and partnering professionals.
  • Knowledgeable about dog behavior and committed to using positive reinforcement training methods.
  • Enthusiastic about helping me succeed and continuing the work of those who have supported me thus far.

If you believe you can provide me with the love, patience, and understanding I deserve, I can’t wait to meet you!
