Monte (#4083), whose name is short for Montezuma, is a Golden Retriever/Shepherd-mix who was brought to the USA from Mexico via another rescue organization.  Monte is 10-years old and weighs 47 pounds.  Monte has mild allergies which are controlled well on once daily medication. Monte is afraid of aggressive cats but would likely be fine with a passive/dog savvy cat. Monte is mostly docile and a little cautious.  He very much enjoys walks and car rides and he does both perfectly.

All descriptions above are what we know about this dog when it was first released to GBR. During the dogs first few weeks in foster care, we will discover more of its true personality and behavior as witnessed by the particular foster family. The dog’s personality traits may change as it becomes accustomed to its new foster home and surroundings.
