We adopted Maisie on November 23rd! Our family is so happy and we can’t imagine life without her. She brings joy to us every day and is always ready for an adventure!
Maisie loves her 3 to 4 walks every day. She gets up extra early to have her morning walk and then enjoys a day of rest with a few walks and then another long walk in the evening. She loves to be in the same room with us, ride in the car/truck and gets along well with everyone.
Maisie loves to run and chase after a tennis ball, plays tug of war with her variety of toys and enjoys a few treats daily! She is very funny and playful when the mood strikes. She is well behaved on her leash while walking or running. Maisie has learned to give high 5’s and roll over to have her paws dried after her rainy walks.
We are so thankful to Golden Bond and grateful for the love that her foster family shared with her!

My name is Maisie (#3247). I am good with other dogs but take a bit of time to warm up for playtime. I am good at respecting other dogs when I first meet them. I am interested in cats but respectful and, although I like to try and
chase them, I don’t get too close. I love kids and all the attention that comes with having them around. I love attention and want to be near my family; however, I am also happy to go lay down and take a nap while my family is in the room.
I am crate trained and quiet in my kennel overnight. I am also completely house-trained. I need a daily walk and some time and room to run off some energy daily. I LOVE to play soccer!
I have been working hard at leash training because “freight train” was my only speed on leash when I arrived from China. I am so much better now but still find myself pulling once in awhile and will need further training to make this fun for both of us! I am also somewhat unsure of strangers, especially men. A quick treat and I make fast friends though.
The best kind of family for me would be one with older children as I bond closely with teens in the house and like their activity level. I need a somewhat active family and with an increase in endurance and continued leash improvement, I will make a great running/walking/hiking partner. Most importantly, though, I think I will make a great family addition.
