Duffy #4427

I’m Duffy and I’m 3.5-year-old golden doodle. I have been told that I am very tall – some say I resemble a miniature pony. When I first came to Golden Bond Rescue, I was 101lbs and I needed to lose some weight. I now sit around 90lbs, which is a healthier weight for me!

I am a very calm, friendly boy who likes to take walks and play with toys. You can always find me with a toy either in my mouth or nearby. I usually don’t pull on leash when I take my walks, but if I smell something intriguing, I might gently try to guide you to an area I want to sniff.

I like interacting with other dogs, but I don’t try to wrestle or chase them. I prefer mellow greetings and like to say ‘hi’ and sniff. My foster family thinks I would do well as either an only dog or with another mellow, four-legged pal. I was a solo dog for the first three years of my life but have gotten along well with my foster family’s dogs. I have not been cat tested, so to be safe I would do best in a no cat home.

When it comes to humans, I love lots of affection and cuddling on the couch, but I am also just as happy to rest at your feet. I just enjoy being close by. I do still need some training when it comes to my recall and basic obedience, but I have mastered sit and I’m house trained. I also want you to know that I can be somewhat picky about eating my own kibble because I was free fed with my previous humans.

I would thrive in any home as long as I get my daily walk and romp. I am ready for my forever home now – is that your home???
