Two Socks Available Story:
Hello, I am Two Socks (#2346). I was named this because the white on my front paws makes it look like I’m wearing socks. I am a Golden/Border Collie mix.
I weigh about 50 pounds and am around three years old, according to the vet. I do not know my exact age because I didn’t have a home before coming to GBR. I sort of lived outside on a ranch that I found one day. The rancher would feed me sometimes but I stayed outside. That is one of my biggest accomplishments in the last several weeks–I know how to live inside with a family and it is so cool that I want a family for myself.
My foster moms say that I am a sweet girl and I’ve learned so much since I came to their home. I was so scared that first day that all I wanted to do was hide in the corner. Now I want to do everything the rest of the family is doing.
I have two Golden foster sisters, one of whom is young like me and we love to wrestle and play the chase game with each other around the yard. My foster family has three cats that I like to sniff, if they let me. One of the cats will even play with me a bit as long as I don’t get too excited. I’m kind of a nervous dog so I’d probably be okay with older kids but small kids would be too much.
My foster moms have been working with me to learn “good dog behavior” and I have learned things like sitting, waiting, “easy,” “off,” and going into my kennel. I am house trained. They say I am a quick learner which is good because I still have some things to learn. I am very shy and it took me a few weeks to adjust to my foster family.
I will need my new family to be patient and give me time to get to know them. My foster moms say I am a very good dog and that I will make an excellent companion. They want you to know that I know how to be an inside dog now and I am ready to transition to my forever home.
