Tucker’s Available Story:
Tucker (#2304) is a beautiful senior dog who was picked up as a stray but has obviously been well cared for, trained and loved in a previous home. He weighs just less than 80 lbs and is 11.5 years old but is healthy and in good condition. He has the normal “old age” somewhat reduced vision and hearing, and has many fatty lumps, but he has checked out in good shape with normal bloodwork. He still has lots of bounce in his step and lots of love to give. You couldn’t ask for a nicer, better mannered old boy to keep you company on walks, in the house, and to love and receive his love in return.
Tucker enjoys his walks and has no lameness or stiffness. He walks nicely by your side with no pulling and is just happy to be out with you. He does need help getting into and out of the car because he’s a big boy and jumping isn’t his forte. He has learned to use a ramp and is grateful to have that assistance. He’s fine traveling in the car and settles right down.
Tucker loves everyone and is just happy to be around people. He gets along fine with other dogs and has no problem with cats. He’d probably be fine with kids as he’s really easy going. Fostering him has been the easiest thing ever and he adjusted very quickly to being a part of the family. The lucky new forever family who adopts Tucker will find themselves with an absolutely wonderful and gorgeous Golden!!
