Hi, my name is Teddy. I’m 2 1/2 years old now but I don’t look my age, humans say I look like a puppy.

I come from a land called South Korea where I was found in a scary place called a shelter. I was discovered and was handed over to some very nice humans at BAPS that were arranging a way for me to come to the United States.   I was assured a good fur-ever home would be found for me.

I was put on an airplane and arrived in Seattle, WA on Friday May 26th where I was taken to a home in Tacoma, WA. They said it was my foster home, whatever that is!   There lived another Golden Retriever named ‘Heidi’ ( she is much older than me).

I was taken to a doctor for checkups and was diagnosed with heart worm and had to leave my comfortable and loving foster family so I could get better. A nice lady named Lyn cared for me and nursed me back to health.

Then one Saturday morning there was a knock at Lyn’s door. As it opened there stood in front of me two humans and a Golden Retriever. I greeted them like I would any visitor with my tail wagging and my butt wiggling from side to side and as I was sniffing them, something smelled very familiar about them. Then it hit me! It was my foster mom, dad & sister! They came to make me a permanent member of their family… fur-ever!

I’m now back in my fur-ever home in Tacoma getting all the love and attention that I need. Plus, a big comfy bed , being back with my Golden sister Heidi who loves me, a big box of toys, treats, a big back yard to run around, and long walks around the ‘hood,   What more can a Golden boy like me ask for ?!

Meet Teddy (#2849) from South Korea. Teddy is an energetic young Golden. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea where he was scheduled to be euthanized. He loves people and other dogs and his rescuers described him as a “marshmallow.” He loves to prance around with toys and will need continued work on training. He is a happy, sweet boy with lots of energy who will be looking for his forever home once he’s neutered and had all necessary vet work done.

Teddy was adopted September 2, 2017
