Beau – formerly Sunny – arrived in the U.S. from China June 9 and was placed with his foster parents, Katie & Ben  in Portland.  After several phone conversations and due to my having a visual impairment that prevents my driving long distances, Katie and Ben generously offered to drive Beau to our home in Idaho. On August 3rd Beau arrived and we fell in love with him immediately.

Beau is very mellow and a most agreeable individual. We walk the Snake River Canyon Rim Trail every morning followed by stops at The Visitor’s Center and Petco to visit with friends.

Playing ball and relaxing in the sun are the usual daily activities ending with a stop at Starbucks where Beau is always greeted by friends.

We are so grateful  for the opportunity to share our lives with Beau.

Hey ya’ll!  I’m Sunny (#3209). Have ya seen how “Sunny” it is outside?  Oh wait . . . just kidding.  It’s always “Sunny” (with a capital s) in my world because that’s my name! I flew in from China on June 9, 2019 and have been enjoying my new life. I’m roughly 5-years old and am 80 pounds of love! I’m an easygoing, mellow dog and just want to be wherever my human and the resident dog are.

I may be a little slow to get up but I like chasing the ball at times and wrestling with my smaller resident sister.  My foster mom tells me I need to be nice and share the ball/toys with her; I’m still learning how to do that. I’m fully housetrained and know some tricks like sit and shake.  Sometimes I answer to “come” but other times I want to stay outside rather than come inside.

I get along great with cats and I don’t mind kids —  I enjoy all the attention they give me! I would be best in a home that doesn’t have a lot of stairs for me to climb on a daily basis. I would love to be in a home where my people aren’t gone a lot and have a fellow furry friend to play with around my age.

From Sunny’s foster parents: Sunny is such a loving, sweet, gentle dog and just wants to please you as well as be beside you. Everyone who meets him falls in love with this handsome dog! He loves to greet you at the door when you come home with a toy in his mouth wagging his tail non-stop. He has these deep soulful eyes that make you feel like he understands you just by looking at you. Sunny is truly an amazing dog and will fill your heart with his love that he gives!
