My name is Sullivan (#3090) and I arrived in America on Halloween night.  Although my name is Sullivan, my foster mom calls me Sullie. I do react to that name, I hear it quite often – “off” Sullie, “leave it” Sullie, “out” Sullie.  It’s probably because I like to counter-surf, I tend to jump when waiting for my food, and I want to play with the cat.  Those things aside, I walk well on a leash, I like other dogs, and I do like cats.

I have only been here a short time, but have learned so much already:  how to go up/down stairs, using a doggy door, and I can potty on the grass not just concrete.  I am still a puppy, even though I’m two years old. I know I have so much more to learn.  I am a work in progress.  However, if you have the patience to teach me, I will become a great companion.

I would do best with a stay at home mom or dad with or without older kids. I do not like my crate much, but do okay for short periods of time.  I have lots of energy, so an active family would be great. I think another dog would also help, to not only keep me company, but also help teach me the ropes.

My foster mom says I am a “Velcro” dog and a “sweetheart”. I love nothing more than to be with my humans and to cuddle.
