Macduff has been with us for seven months. He is a smart, happy, friendly guy, eager to please, especially if he can earn a treat. He has adjusted to us and our neighbors very well.

He came with an intense food fixation, meaning he was a 70 lb projectile.  He is now trained to sit/stay until he gets the OK to dive in. He does indulge in spinning while waiting for his bowl to be filled or if popcorn is coming.

Generally he is compliant and easy to walk on a leash, but in a new place with a lot of people he gets what we jokingly call ADD. We are working on it.

Macduff is a handsome dog. He always gets compliments. His silky fur or stately profile is often admired. But most of all when off leash, he has a naturally graceful gait as though he is in the show ring. He is a champion.

Peter & Myrl

Hi! I’m Sean (#3097) and I love you already. I can’t believe that I’m getting to put up this personal ad! That’s because my foster dad likes me so much he wanted to put in an adoption application for me. Foster mom talked him out of it. She said, “Now Dear. We already have one lovely golden and there are more coming from China who will need temporary homes. Sean is a very nice dog and will make someone or some family very happy. We need to let him go so we’ll have room for the next group of rescued goldens.”

So anyway, about me: I’m two, or four, or something. I don’t really know. I walk REALLY nicely on a leash. I greet humans great and small with ease. I’m a little underweight right now, although it’s hard to tell because I have really pretty hair.

I’m okay with other dogs, but I’m not so sure how much I like sharing toys. Speaking of toys: I’ve been known to eat a few. Whole. I can’t be left unsupervised with toys. I will rip them to shreds and eat the pieces or swallow them whole. I’ll also happily munch on your fleece sweater, socks, and dishtowels. I’ve been doing this less as I’ve gotten more comfortable in my new home. But you’ll probably have to keep an eye on me for a while.

I am a little mouthy when I get excited. Sometimes I try to grab Foster Mom by the wrist and my teeth get a little tangled up in her fingers. She’s let me know that not everyone will tolerate this, but I haven’t fully kicked the habit, yet.

I am potty trained and crate trained and I come when I’m called. I might need to have my teeth looked at soon.

I can’t wait to meet you!
