Introducing sweet Shiloh (#2820), an 11-year old, overweight angel. Shiloh’s owner, who had him since he was a puppy, passed away. It’s thought that Shiloh and five cats were in the house with the deceased owner for several days before anyone found her. She had taken very good care of her pets over the years, but when she became ill she wasn’t able to care for them properly. Shiloh was covered with fleas and had serious infections is both ears. He was very dirty. It’s believed Shiloh was free-fed because he is very overweight. (Sadly, three of the five cats had to be euthanized because they were in such poor shape.) A wonderful neighbor had Shiloh for three weeks and got him some much needed vet care.
Shiloh is a shy boy who is a little leery of new people but is very sweet. In less than twelve hours in his foster home, shy Shiloh started coming out of his shell thanks to the presence of the other three dogs there. He’s now wiggly, wagging, smiling and seeking out attention! Being in the presence of other dogs seems to make him comfortable.
Do you and your dog(s) have room in your hearts for Shiloh? Shiloh hopes so!
