Miss Sandy is an energetic love bug!  She plays like a puppy – and crashes like one.  Can’t imagine why anyone would let her go – we couldn’t.  She makes us laugh every day. I love it when I sit on the floor and she flops on her back into my lap for me to rub her belly.

She loves to play fetch – and she learned quickly to “leave” the ball.  We are finally getting use out of our yard.  When she first arrived she didn’t get the idea of hanging out in the yard.  She’d run outside, do her business (in the mulch only thank you very much) and run to go back in the house.  Now she is a true companion securing the perimeter of the yard from the dastardly squirrels a

She travels with us everywhere.  In the couple of months we’ve had here we’ve been to the beach, hiking and snowshoeing.  She loves her beds – especially the one in the living room at night.  While we are watching TV, she’ll over and stands by it and looks at us.  We say “ok, go bed” and she lays down.  Then she ignores us fully until it’s time for bed for real.

I love to make toys for her.  She now thinks anything that comes off the sewing machine is for her.  Spoiled girl (of course).

It’s amazing how much her hair has filled in in a short time.  Although she is part spaniel her chest hair and wings on her haunches are true golden.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped her find us; she adds light to every one of our days.

Straight from Taiwan, Sandy (#2773) is the cutest, softest, and sweetest girl ever!  She’s a Golden mix with some unique coloring.  She weighs about 65 pounds and is approximately five years old. Other than a left ear infection, she’s a very healthy girl.

Sandy is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She is housetrained and walks well on a leash. She loves to carry soft toys or a leash around in her mouth and she “talks” when she has something in her mouth. A sweet, lovely dog!
