We adopted Saffron, now Lucy, in early January, and these past few months she has been doing so well! We’ve seen her anxiety drop drastically, and have watched her become more comfortable in our house with both my husband and I. She’s so sweet and whenever we are out on a walk, people comment how beautiful she is! (I’m biased, but I totally agree) The vet says she’s looking healthy and her coat is so soft!

Since I work from home, Lucy loves to take naps under my desk and play fetch during my lunch break. We are still in training working on commands. She’s mastered sit, lay down, and stay, but “leave it” seems to be the more challenging one, because when food drops on the floor, this girl is quick!

We are so lucky to have her, and we are all looking forward to a fun summer of day hikes, lake time, and even more games of fetch. A very big thank you to Nancy, Lucy’s foster, who was so wonderful with advice and support as Lucy transitioned into our home. Thank you Golden Bond for all you do!

Hi!  My name is Saffron (#3104), I recently arrived from China and am 3 years oldI’ve been in a couple of foster homes and am looking for my forever home.

I haven’t had any training, but am good on a leash (I love walks!) and eager to please so beginning training with my forever family will be important, but should be easy, fun and satisfying to both of us.

Speaking of fun, I love to play ball, especially retrieving balls. I occasionally retrieve other items I find of interest laying around the house, but I don’t chew them up.  I am good with other dogs and children, but get very jealous when they receive all the attention. Too much excitement brings out my anxiety and it’s hard for me to settle down. I prefer a quiet, structured environment.

Oh, I guess I should mention a couple of other things. I love to eat and am very interested in food whether it is in my bowl, on the table or on the counter. My foster mom is working on the counter surfing, but I am persistent. And I know when it’s time to go outside – my mom keeps me on a regular schedule, but if she forgets or is not attentive to me, I sometimes have accidents.

I am all golden and will make someone a great companion and walking buddy. I look forward to meeting you soon.
