My name is Rose (#3472) and I’m a 5-month-old Newfoundland. I came over to the U.S. from China in March and I sure do love it here!

It took my 4-year-old foster brother a bit to warm up to me. I’m a pretty mellow puppy, but my sass and confidence took him by surprise! He loves me now as much as I love him and we play wrestle all the time. I think the only thing I love more is humans. I’m always eager to meet anyone and everyone I cross paths with on our walks! I’ve even met children and like them too, but I will be much bigger in size very soon and may unknowingly bump into them.

I’m still learning a lot and can be stubborn at times and a little timid of new things, but I’ve picked up ‘sit’ and ‘wait’ pretty quickly. I really didn’t like my crate the first few nights, but I’ve gotten used to it and go in there pretty easily at night. The house training has been difficult for me, but I’ll get it down soon I think.
