Chewy Lewis (#3214) is an adorable chocolate Lab mix.  He was surrendered to GBR after his family moved to a new home where they could not take him.  Chewy is getting along well with his foster dog siblings.  He’s a typical young dog who likes to play but when he gets near the older dog’s favorite toy and is warned with a growl, he is very respectful.  His foster family describes him as high energy, friendly and goofy.  He loves to play ball and will play until he’s too tired to move, but he will, if asked, give up the ball.  Walking on a leash is a bit challenging for Chewy as he is a bit of a pinball and will go wherever he wants, including crossing in front of the leash holder.  After a series of ”sit – let’s go” commands for a block, he remembers he should walk beside the leash holder and is much better.  Chewy is a good, loving dog looking for a good, loving home.
