We are Celie (#3268) and Stella (#3269).  Our foster parents say we are “incredibly sweet and super affectionate.” We love to snuggle, get petted and be pampered. The two of us are very bonded and our foster family thinks it’s adorable to watch us together. It’s hard for us to believe that we are in our mature years because we feel young, get around really well and love to go for walks. We are really good with cats, but we weren’t socialized very well around other dogs and it takes some patience and work to get us integrated. I (Celie, the chocolate lab) love all people but can get snappy around other dogs. I (Stella, the blond) love my own people but tend to be a little snappy around dogs and other people, including children who approach me when I’m out on a walk. I (Celie) will occasionally try to steal Stella’s food (ha!) so Stella is food possessive with me and with our foster family’s cats if they walk by. Because we really want to please, we’ve gotten much better about not pulling on our leashes when out on walks and not barking through the window at people, but we still need practice. We will thrive in a house where we get lots of attention, get to lounge on the furniture and have daily walks with close monitoring around any new people/dogs.

Note from Celie and Stella’s foster family:  These are amazing golden girls with lots of love and loyalty to give to a lucky person or family.
