My name is Ruby (#3965). I had hoped to find a forever home for Christmas but, as you may have figured out, that didn’t happen.  I’m okay with that though because I’m looking for the right fit and sometimes that takes a little while.  I am now 1 year old!

I am currently 46 pounds of exuberant love and I prefer the company of other high energy, confident dogs. My personality is too much for low key or temperamental dogs, but I love them all the same. I am a very quick learner and would absolutely love a job for my quick little brain (agility/obedience/scent-work/etc.). It also helps that I am treat-driven.

I have not had any accidents in the house since I arrived at my current foster home in October, and I do fantastic in a crate at night. I am quiet, except for alerts for new things.  I am also healthy, fit, and self-reliant.  I am working on leash manners and recall. I love toys and will even retrieve a ball IF it’s a race.

My skills at dissecting things make tough/non-stuffing toys/bed/pads best. I have been great around house cats with supervision but will chase them if left to my own devices.  I have also responded well to livestock animals across the fence and around the farm. I have met children and would do best with constant supervision due to my high activity level.

I am currently in foster care in eastern Oregon and enjoy running miles whenever possible. I came from South Korea with three siblings in August 2023 and we appear to be a Korean Jindo crossbreed (a Korean Village Dog).  I have a luxurious undercoat and have been hesitant but good about grooming and nail trimming. I have not shown any signs of resource guarding. I am slow and deliberate about eating food with no particular sensitivities to date. I love treats and will catch them in the air.  If you’re interested in adopting me, please submit an application to Golden Bond Rescue.  I know we’re going to love each other once we meet in person.
