Relaxed Reid (#3475), a Newfoundland puppy, entered the United States from China on March 26, 2021.  Reid is approximately 4 1/2 months old and weights 30 pounds. He is significantly underweight and is currently being fed multiple times a day. He is a VERY picky eater and will only eat canned food (and not the cheap stuff!). His foster mom is working on trying to slip in kibble here and there but the primary goal is just give him whatever he will eat to put on some weight.

Reid had a rough start in the U.S. with a trip to the emergency room in his first few days. He is now doing much better and had his first regular vet appointment in early April with good results. The vet noted that Reid may have entropion and will more than likely need surgery to correct this.

Reid is a very lazy dog that doesn’t seem to require much stimulus and does well with his golden foster sister. He is an absolute cutie!

All descriptions above are what we know about this dog when it was first released to GBR. Dogs are typically in foster care for three to four weeks. During that time, we will discover its true personality as witnessed by its particular foster family. The dog’s personality traits may change as it becomes accustom to its new foster home.
