My name is Opal (#3573).  I am beautiful Black Labrador Retriever from South Korea. I am 5-years old and in excellent health with no known allergies.  I enjoy fetch, long walks and playing with toys, but I also enjoy taking naps. I do well in the house and am crate-trained.

I love people, but I may do best as an only dog. I like the company of other dogs, but I prefer to have a say in selecting my friends, and I need time to feel comfortable with them.

I am smart, and am making great progress in learning to curb my enthusiasm, I’m working on not jumping on people when I first meet them and I’m learning other skills:  sit, stay, down, and “leave it” which is an achievement for a highly food-motivated dog like me.

I love using puzzle toys for my meals. I enjoy opportunities to spend time with people outside such as gardening or hiking. I love to smell new thing on walks, so I have a tendency to pull on the leash.

My foster family believes that with love and consistent, patient training, I will be a polished gem. Maybe yours?
