Meet Nyla (#3624), a 2-year old female Labrador Retriever-mix.  Nyla is sweet, loving, affectionate, intuitive, happy, and active but knows how to settle down. Her previous owner says Nyla bonds easily with kids and other dogs. Nyla came in with a staph infection and major skin allergies (itching all the time). She is now on steroids, her skin is clearing, and she is not itching. She also had a consultation with a specialist who confirmed that she has a luxating patella (2 out of 4 severity and not urgent – other legs look good). GBR is waiting until she is off the prednisone and then will schedule her knee surgery.

Nyla is an amazing happy dog and both her regular vet and the specialist commented how wonderful she is.

All descriptions above are what we know about this dog when it was first released to GBR. Dogs are typically in foster care for three to four weeks. During that time, we will discover its true personality as witnessed by its particular foster family. The dog’s personality traits may change as it becomes accustom to its new foster home.
