Our rescue dog, Murphy, was just so sad without Lucy (Rusty #2587 who passed in the fall of 2018) , so just before Christmas 2018 we started searching the Golden Bond Rescue website for our next family member. And there was Maggie (Marigold #3127), a tri-pawed rescue from China. The adoption was fast-tracked because Maggie was differently abled and not everyone wanted that in a dog or understood the future ramifications; and we were a repeat GBR forever home parents. On Dec. 23, 2018, 8-month-old sweet-natured, lap puppy Maggie came to live with us.

It took a few days, but now Maggie and Murphy wrestle and play tug-of-war until they drop; Murphy still chases Keisa, our cat, but Maggie now gets in between them, licking the cat until her fur is all slobbered; and Debbie, who is a professional hand therapist, is scheduling Maggie for a future prosthesis (although she gets around pretty well now with her three legs and an elbow).

All is well in this GBR forever home.

Introducing Marigold (#3127) who flew in from China on November 21st.  Marigold was born missing most of her right front leg. She’s a happy girl and gets around fairly well. This very special girl will be looking for her very special home soon.

Marigold was adopted on December 23, 2018
