Here’s Luna (#2990), all the way from China. Although she is said to be 8 years, those who have met her think she is younger because she has so much energy and just loves long walks, the longer the better. She is learning that pulling on her leash is not conducive to an enjoyable walk so her leash skills are improving.
Luna loves people and is quite calm, cuddly and snuggly . . . but only if there aren’t too many (or any?) cats around. She is housebroken, and perhaps a little overweight so could lose a few pounds. She is good with other dogs and all people. It’s possible she would be good with some cats although she was not able to settle down with four cats in her first foster home.
Notes from her foster: Sometimes Luna struggles to get up after lying down for a long time, especially in the morning. But she has no problem walking and getting up or down stairs. She has good house manners, asks to get up on the sofa, knows to “stay” and waits for her food. She only pulls on her leash when she wants to sniff or say hello to someone. She knows the “out” command which had to be used when she picked up contraband from the street, especially tissue paper! She responds to whistles and tongue clicks more than her name. She loves getting her ears cleaned or rubbed. Overall, she’s a mellow, happy dog.
