My name is Jack (#3745).  I am a 93-pound, 10-year old fluffy teddy bear posing as an English cream retriever. My original family tearfully gave me up when our home life changed but I remain my lovable and huggable self.

I am friendly with cats and other dogs but prefer people. If you’re indoors, I want to be inside. If you’re outside, that’s where I want to be. In my foster home, I am pals with the resident Golden and felines. I love little dogs. I also like children and let them hug me.

I am well behaved and know commands of come, sit, stay, etc. I walk beautifully on a leash. I have great house manners and let you know when I need to go out. I like being indoors but also enjoy scampering through fields or splashing in the ocean. I love car rides and sit in the middle of the back seat so I can watch where we’re going.

I bark to let you know if I need out or in. I bark loudly when the doorbell rings or someone approaches my yard. I have a unique way of communicating, almost like I am talking to you in a different dialect. I have some anxiety but patience and consistency help. I take OTC joint supplements but no prescriptions.

I would like a calm, understanding home where I can hang out with people and be part of the routine. My new home will need a good vacuum because, let’s face it, a big fluffy teddy bear sheds.
