Hero #3712

My name is Hero (#3712).  I am a 1 ½-year old male Golden Retriever. I am a sweet boy and I love people. I have a lot of energy and my previous home was not able to meet my exercise needs. I would do best in a home with someone who either works from home or is not gone for long periods of time. I would love to live with another dog who can match my energy level. While I love to play, I also take frequent breaks on my own. I do not like being left home alone so having a buddy with me would help.

I am currently living with my foster family in Bend, OR.   They have two other dogs.

I do like to chase cats and so should be in a cat-free home.

I like to have my paw held when I am being petted. I will snuggle with my person on the couch and play with every toy I can find. I am currently working on: walking properly on a leash, preserving my toys for future play, and solidifying my basic obedience skills. While my complete history with children is unknown, in my foster home I met a baby and licked her.  I also met four- and six-year old children who I gave kisses to then played with them for an hour.

My foster mom says I am, “the biggest sweetheart and would make a great addition to a family.”  I think she’s right and I hope that I will become an addition soon.
