Hedy Lamarr #4245
I’m a 2.5-year old golden retriever – 55 pounds of gentle fluff, short legs, and a big personality that wiggles right out of me every day. I came all the way from China with the help of some amazing people who believed I deserved a second chance. When I first arrived, my world felt big, loud, and scary. My legs were tired, and I could only walk about a block before needing a nap in my comfy bed. But I was determined and I did it.
Now? Now I proudly march for 2 miles on my walks. And the best part? I carry my own leash in my mouth because a girl with short legs can still take charge. It makes everyone smile at me. I wiggle my whole back end so you know I’m smiling too!
I love all people and other dogs too. My foster family says I’m a little chunky right now (more to love), but they also say I’m doing so well with my healthy treats and longer walks that I’ve already lost a few pounds.
Loud noises and sudden movement still surprise me sometimes. But each day I feel a little braver, I ride like a champ in the car, so I’d love to be your co-pilot on adventures or just a quick trip to get a pup cup.
What I want most in the world is a family who will love me back as much as I love them. If you have a soft bed, some treats, a yard to sniff, and a heart, then I’m ready for you, too!
Love and wags,
Hedy
