Ganon #3622

My name is Ganon (#3622) and I am still looking for my forever family. Perhaps you tell by looking at by big, brown eyes how much I want to be an awesome family member?

Over the last three months, I have shown my foster family just what a great dog I am. I know many commands, like sit, down, and stay. I am perfectly housebroken, love other dogs (and cats too!) and get along with everyone.

I would be perfect for an active owner who can provide outlets for my considerable energy and intelligence. I am calm in the house, but I would love to get out and get hard exercise with someone every day. I’d be a great jogging or hiking companion. I am graceful, confident and very fast and would make an awesome agility or flyball dog.  I fetch tennis balls with a Chuck-It – and I even bring the ball back! I enjoy all types of puzzle toys and any training that engages my intelligence.

I’ve been working on my leash manners, and I walk pretty well with a front-clip harness. I am very strong, though, and need someone who can handle me when I pull and who will keep working with me on calm leash-walking.

I am learning that being alone doesn’t have to be traumatic. I need an understanding owner who will keep working on teaching me to be independent. I am making great progress, but need a family where someone can be home. I might do best in a home with another dog for company.

I am hoping that I can find my forever family soon!
