Faye was adopted March 4, 2017

It is our pleasure to introduce you to Faye (#2778).  Faye recently arrived from Shanghai.  She is about 6 years old, is 61 pounds and has had a rough life up to now. She was used and over-used for breeding then eventually sold to the meat market when she was rescued. She is a very easy going, sweet and friendly dog who loves people, gets along fine with other dogs, walks well on a leash, is house trained and likes to go for walks or runs, and is very quiet and calm in the house.

Faye is quite healthy except for a couple of things that need to be taken care of before she’s ready to find her forever family. She needs to have a few teeth extracted as she has some serious dental disease and roots exposed. Faye was spayed in China recently but her spay had to be incomplete (only one ovary removed) due to one ovary being connected to her bladder. The vets recommended no further surgery due to the large number of litters she had plus scarring from a previous surgery (likely cesareans). The recommendation is to put her on contraception of some type to eliminate her going into heat in the future. Golden Bond Rescue is checking into this and will know more soon.
