Hello my name is Esther. I am a beautiful white 5 year old female Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix who weighs about 85 pounds. I was rescued directly off the slaughter truck by some devoted rescuers in China.

I have a big beautiful coat, a contagious smile and a fluffy tail. I have had no official training, but I am spayed and housebroken. I’ve never met any of those things called “cats” so I can’t tell you if I’d like them or not.

When I first came to the United States I had an infection from a broken leg repaired in China.  I went to a specialist here in Oregon and I am happy to say that I am now a healthy dog without any major issues.

Once I adjust to my surroundings, I am a great companion.  At first it takes a few days to get used to everything, but once I am accustomed to my new home I do quite well.  After I get to know you, I am very affectionate and loving. I like to follow you around the house and probably desire a little more attention than the average dog. Also, I am fiercely loyal to my family.

I currently live with two male dogs at my foster dad’s house. I love playing with humans, but not so much with other dogs. I have a lot of energy so I would be best living with an active family.  And I really like being the Supreme Princess with subjects, so I probably wouldn’t compete well with another so-called Princess.

I love chewing on hard toys, playtime (especially tug-a- war), hugs, and lying next to you. I love to go for walks but my foster dad keeps me on a leash because I love to run off and explore (it’s a Pyr thing).

My foster dad says I am a very beautiful young lady with lots of life to give. I can’t wait to give that special someone lots of smiles, wags, and kisses.

Esther was adopted July 1, 2017
