Did we just become best friends? I’m Eli (#4226), and I am ready to be your forever friend! Are you human? Friend! Are you a dog? Friend! I’ve even met a cat! I am happy to meet everyone and anyone.

I love going outside so I can sniff and say hello to all my friends (strangers are just friends I haven’t met yet). I can use a little help with my recall, but I am very food motived, so with training I know I can get better. I do great with verbal commands, I am potty trained, and free roam in the house with my other dog roommates while my foster dad is away. I do pretty well on walks (but I can pull a little when I get excited).  Inside the house I am calm and a very good boy. Well, I sometimes help myself to human food if it’s on the counter, but as long as I can’t reach it, I won’t eat it.

My soulful eyes will melt your heart and I love to rest my head on people’s laps. I am a very polite boy with bouts of goofy energy that delight everyone!

Note: Eli and Annie (#4227) have been together since Annie was a puppy.  It would be ideal if a loving family were able to adopt both of them.  They are wonderful dogs.
