My name is Edith (#3620). I am a 2-year old, 76-pound, Labrador Retriever from So. Korea. I arrived in the U.S. during the snowstorm in December 2021 and adapted extremely quickly to my new foster home and country. I am learning commands in English and am very intelligent. I am wonderful with other large dogs and puppies and will play endlessly. I love to run and romp outside, but also will calm down and snuggle for hours and get belly rubs. I am a sturdy, outgoing, athletic girl, ready for outdoor adventure and making new human and canine friends. I love people and greet everyone with enthusiasm and a happy tail.
I was successfully treated for heartworms in S. Korea and appear to have had only a very mild case. My veterinarian took x-rays of my hips when I was spayed and they appear to be in very good shape.
I have a great nose as well as a strong ball drive so could have potential as a Search and Rescue dog. I am crate-trained and am learning good house manners. I love my snacks and will learn new things for food. I would do best in a house with or without middle-school and older children and other dogs. I have not been exposed to cats yet.
