I was adopted by my family in October 2009 at the age of 9. I have been so loved and loved being with my family and especially my Golden sister, Mia, who joined our family as a puppy 1 year after I was adopted.
I had a wonderful 7.5 years with my family. I lived to the ripe old age of 16.5 years. My family would always say that I wanted to live a full second life with them, which is what I did.
I was the Alpha dog in the family and taught my young sister Mia everything she knows. I loved to go on walks with my family or take myself for walks whenever the opportunity arose. Many of our neighbors have said how they will miss me wandering around the neighborhood.
My favorite place was the beach, where I ran on the sand, ate crab shells and met all sorts of other friendly dogs. I loved running in the sand with my cousins, Sandy and Cinder, and my sister, Mia.
Thank you Golden Bond for giving me another chance and finding my second family. I made them so happy and taught them how to love dogs – especially Golden retrievers!
I joined the Rainbow bridge on March 10, 2017. I am running on the beach with all my friends in heaven and eating whenever and whatever I want!!

Dear Golden Bond –
Dusty (#1935) joined our family in October. He has been a very welcomed addition by all except our four cats who think he is a little big and furry! This is a picture taken recently of the first time Dusty was able to get close to Lucy. He was so excited to finally be able to lay in front of the fire with her. He could barely control himself!
Our kids, Whitney(12) and Cooper(9) love to play ball with Dusty and Cooper has allowed Dusty to sample all of his stuffed animals. Dusty seems quite happy and comfortable with us. He wakes up before 6 am in the hopes of a morning walk. Dusty has also gotten to know his cousins, Sandy (adopted from Golden Bond) and Cinder (yellow lab) with whom he spends Thursdays while I’m at work. Our family is overwhelmed with love and affection for Dusty. We thank Golden Bond for the opportunity to have Dusty in our lives.
