My “special needs” rescue dog Finn (or Finney, at his request) is doing great at three weeks. I take him to my office every day and my psychotherapy patients LOVE him! And he is the perfect host: He greets each patient for about three minutes and then sleeps for the next 47. In special cases where people are upset, he sticks pretty close and let’s them have some golden comfort. Such a good guy. Kudos to foster Mom Jill Groves and Jeanne Spreen for their understanding of him and seeing his “therapy dog” potential!
Here he is at work. LOL. He’s perfect !!!!!!

Carmine’s Available Story:
Meet Carmine (#2690). Up until last year, he lived in China. His story is like all of the other goldens rescued from China’s dog meat trade. He was rescued in Changchun, a city about 620 miles NE of Beijing. His rescuer spends thousands and thousands of his own Yuan (Chinese currency) to save goldens and all other breeds and mixes from the dog meat slaughterhouses.
Carmine is only 1 year old and very rambunctious, like most 1 year olds are. He will be in foster care for a few weeks in order to get used to being in a new country, get neutered, and get all his vaccinations. We already know that he is wonderful with other dogs and absolutely loves, loves, loves people.
