Hi! My name is Buddy (#4260) and my foster family tells me I’m a cutie every day. I’m a smaller (approximately 60 pound) Yellow Labrador Retriever but I think there could be some hound dog in there somewhere because of my extra cute long ears, jowls and the rumor that I sometimes wake up from a dream baying like I’ve treed a raccoon. I never remember doing this but that’s okay because I get told I’m a good boy and I get treats. I’m potty-trained and crate-trained, even though I’d prefer to wait on my bed or by the front door for my foster family to come home. Life is full of good smells and I’d love to show you all of them while we walk each day.
I’m looking for a home with lots of love, an average amount of activity and someone who’ll give me plenty of pets. I think I could become quite the cuddler once I feel totally safe and secure. I’m a quick learner and can now sit before I eat my dinner or get my leash attached plus I can hop into the back seat of the truck with my foster brother when we go to the beach or run errands. I’m pretty good with ‘Stay’ and ‘Come’ and we are working on ‘Let Go’ when I bring the ball back. I’m a deep sleeper and usually sleep all night without needing to go outside.
I was very very skinny when I arrived from So. Korea and I’ve been getting extra scoops of food with each meal. It’s helping a lot and I’m getting a little less anxious about food scarcity. I’ll need someone to help me with this and offer me lots of positive reinforcement when I get things right.
