My name is Bodie (#3761). I am an 80-pound, 2-3 year old Golden/Tibetan Mastiff mix who arrived from S Korea in October. Since landing in the US in search of my forever home, I have made great strides in my training and am learning how to be a good girl in a different country. So far, I know sit, down, come, leave it, and look. I am now working on walking well on leash and picking that up quickly. I will be starting formal training soon to help me hone in on my skills.
I do great in the house and am a wonderful companion. I have a cuddly, goofy side that I’ll show you once I have learned to trust you. I can be standoffish with new people but this is to be expected since they aren’t familiar with my past and I can’t really explain it to them. I need time to trust that the world isn’t scary as it used to be.
I get along with other dogs who aren’t reactive. I get very excited to play and because of my size I can be rough so proper introductions are a must. My routine consists of taking a walk, following it up with the zoomies, then settling in for a long nap. Because I am still learning the rules, I would do best with an experienced owner who will continue my training and is in a home without other pets or children. My foster family says I am a joy to have around. I think you’ll agree!
