We adopted Benny who was previously known as Billy on May 27th. He was one of the “B” dogs rescued from China and brought to the United States on April 21st.
Benny has been the most amazing dog from the day he arrived. He is sweet, loving, trusting and works hard to please. We feel like we won the dog rescue lottery. He has fit in perfectly with our family and our other dog Cooper and two cats Luna and Earl (all our pets were a bit skeptical of him to start with but they are one happy family now). After being here for 2 1/2 months we feel as if he has always been a part of our lives. Benny is pure Golden joy! Thank you GBR for bringing him into our lives.
Billy was adopted on May 27, 2016.
Billy’s Available Story:
Hi! I’m Billy (#2674) from China. I’m only about 1 year old. I feel so very, very fortunate to have been rescued from the meat market in China. My foster mom says I am “gentle, patient and loving.” I have a small frame and weigh a mere 45 – 55 pounds.
I get along well with other dogs and with cats. I share food, toys, leash walks and companionship with the two dogs in my foster home. I also get along well with my foster’s cat, though we don’t share much. I’m also good with children of all ages because I’m so “gentle and patient.”
My foster mom asked me to pass along that I will be a wonderful addition to any family. Could my family be yours? If so, I think we will be be very happy together.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about my weird hairdo – it was cut off in China before coming to the USA to get rid of mats and to help me make the airline weight limit. Don’t worry, it’ll grow back and I’ll look just like a golden retriever.
